What should you expect when you visit one of our house churches?
- You will be greeted with a friendly smile and a warm welcome. You will be our honored guest.
How long will house church last?
- Between 60 to 90 minutes. Some stay longer but you are under no obligation to do so.
How do we dress?
- However you want, but please wear clothes. :) Casual is the key. Shorts, T- shirts, ball caps. Come as you are.
What about children and teenagers?
- Bring them. We want them. We welcome the chaos. House church is about the family experiencing God together. There might be times that we rotate taking care of the kids in the backyard or in the back room. But each House Church will do things differently. We want to incorporate all the family into the house church.
What will we do in the house church?
- We will do three main things every time we get together. 1. We will break bread together. Some times it will be snack food, sometimes it will be a 4 course meal, and other times it will be somewhere in between. 2. We will tell our stories. This is a time for everyone to check in to share what is going on in their lives and how God is intersecting with our lives. If you don't want to share, that's fine. You can just listen. 3. We will tell stories of Jesus. It is here where we seek God through His Word and hear what God has to say about how to live and walk with Him.
What is the purpose of these weekly gatherings?
- Each gathering really comes down to three things: 1. Our relationship with God. 2. Our relationship with each other. 3. Our relationship with people outside of God's family.
Of course, other things might take place?
- Things like making new friends, encouragement, learning new things, laughing together, sharing burdens together, but most of all becoming more like our Savior.
